lifestyle portraits

Growing up, my mother was a huge fan of scrapbooking which meant family photos were not optional despite the fact that the five of us were not always willing participants. Her desire to document our family's adventures, childhood memories, and precious moments is part of why I am so passionate about lifestyle sessions. Some of my favorite photos of us growing up are the messy, unplanned ones.

The versatility of lifestyle photography allows me to join my clients at a location for a more planned adventure with their family or capture snapshots of their family while in the comfort of their own home. One of my clients invited me to document their grandfather's 90th birthday!

I’ve know Caity for a few years now as a Krav instructor and I’m so glad I finally got to know the photographer side of her this past weekend. We had a fun mini session for our Christmas pictures at the NC Art Museum. We scheduled a time that isn’t very friendly for photographs due to the sun’s position (my request because of my 14 month old son’s nap times and moods). Caity actually went the day before to scout out perfect areas where we could still get some great shots. This made it so much easier to just focus on getting some great shots. And we most definitely got some great ones! Thanks so much Caity! I recommend her highly!
