Tomorrow I will wake up in this body. This body that has been with me through every joy and every sorrow. This body that has birthed 3 babies and nurtured two wonderful children – handling it all with strength and grace. I’ve stretched and grown through every challenge I’ve faced with this body. I’m so grateful, so appreciative of everything we’ve gone through.
Tomorrow night I’ll go to sleep swollen and sore with a slightly different body.
I decided in 2020 that I wanted to do a breast augmentation (BA) and tummy tuck (TT) procedure or more commonly know as a “Mommy Makeover”.
First let me say, I’m proud of my body. I’m proud of the work I do to take care of her by moving and choosing food that nourishes. But I am not just my body. My body is simply the house of my soul.
So I will continue to treat my body well and I’m excited about this change!
WHERE AM I GOING?
I had known about Amelia’s Aesthetics from when my older sister had gotten her BA.
I didn’t expect to find such a welcoming, positive community. They talked about mom guilt, the stigmas around cosmetic surgery, and were completely transparent about their procedures and pricing.
From the consult to pre-op, they’ve been nothing but warm and passionate about their mission, their work and about ME! Highly recommend them for anything you’re looking for!
WHATS NEXT?
I’ll be recovering for the next few weeks and will not be able to do anything physical for 6 weeks. Soo I’ll be doing a lot of resting, reading and watching Outlander 😉 As I recover, I’ll be working my two jobs and responding to clients for both businesses.
As a boudoir photographer, I recognize that everyone’s self-love journey is different. Some people might choose to do a BA or other cosmetic procedures. Some people live to workout and constantly tone + strengthen. Others are working on just simply accepting themselves. Each moment matters. Each journey matters.
Because we are NOT just our bodies.
We are vibrant, colorful souls.
I started January off by escaping to the woods and documenting this body of mine. I am so grateful for my health, my physical strengths and weaknesses and the lessons my body has taught me the past 25 years. Wanna book a boudoir session? Let’s celebrate you. Say yes to Boudoir
